On and On
This almost escaped my attention, but today fatskier is one, see how it all went downhill from this first posting.

Beckingham Palace
Thank the lord, for Posh spice has opened Beckingham Online Palace for all of us commoners. It really is quite fantastic, and i feel now is the right time to announce the forthcoming Fatskier Towers Online which will give an insight into the lives of me and the missus. I promise to share with you, my fans, our favourite things and open up our, er... wardrobe.

My good lady wife is a very beautiful german, I was under the impression that she married me for my good looks, charm and wit, but maybe not. (link via dutchbint)

Super Furries
I suppose I can't let the week go by without mentioning that the my favouritest band in the world have released their new album rings around the world, being a slave to the cause, I bought the cd and the dvd. It's top quality, although I have to gripe about the dvd interface, bit too whoosh and woo and wah for me, you have to sit through about 5 minutes of things flying around before you can get to the beef. Someone must of convinced the band that this was a good thing, but its pretty obvious it isn't. Will this herald the rise of DVD usability experts? fill your boots, everyone is consultant these days...

Publish and be damned
Ever read an e-book? hhmm, no not really caught on, but last week Rosetta Books won a court case against Random House which means that rights for electronic publishing are not covered by any ordinary contract before the advent of e-publishing, so that now means that I can re-focus fatskier as an electronic publisher, and could feasibly negotiate the rights to some 20th century classics...
Infact everyone is supposed to have a novel in them, so pull them out and send them to fatskier where i'll publish them. fire your manuscripts to:

Get it off
How much chance do you think there is of changing the length of the working week? Probably slightly more chance of David Icke proving that Prince Phillip is a giant lizard, but at least let's get it off are trying.
er, I've actually had quite a few friday afternoons off this month, but hey its worth a try...

Interactive art
Artists Olly and Suzi have an exhibition at the Natural History Museum called Olly and Suzi untamed, and from what I’ve seen of their artistic interactions with animals, it might well be worth a trip.

Nightlight
The film Intimacy has got a fair bit of publicity recently, mainly because it features a graphic blowjob and did they, didn’t they sex scenes… and well dunno about you but I’m all for graphic blowjobs. Didn’t realise but the film is actually based on a book that I’m currently reading by Hanif Kureishi called Love in a Blue Time. But what I found really interesting was an article written by Alexander Linklater, the partner of Kerry Fox, actress of said infamous blowjob, in which he, in rather clintonsque style, claims that oral sex in the film does not constitute infidelity, but full sex would have...

tumbleweed
Ok, well unfortunately i haven't been on an extended holiday, although some may argue otherwise, but i finally succumbed to the dot com blues, as my last employer gleefully cut staff and closed offices.
I’m now in the process of finding gainful employment, which has taken up the majority of my time; I’ve some irons in the fire so hopefully this won’t take too much longer. The overall experience has been an interesting, sometimes depressing and often frustrating one.
During this time, I have discovered an untouchable hatred of purveyors of human flesh, or recruitment agents, as they are more commonly known. I’m sure there are good ones out there, but I’ve not met them. Quick example, see a job add for an MBA qualified candidate, with a couple of years internet experience for a strategy role, so fitting the profile exactly, I pick up the phone and asked to speak the stated contact, Edward I believe he was called, explain briefly my position to this supercilious pratt, tell him I have an MBA, to which he replies, ‘where from?’ Now excuse me, but if I had an MBA from Harvard or Insead would I be even responding to this advert? No I fcuking wouldn’t. He then tells me he’s too busy to talk to me, and will call me back. Which of course he didn’t. C#^T
and btw as if it does matter, the MBA is from Canterbury Business School which has a quite reasonable reputation.
